Homeopathy - What is it?

Homeopathy is a system of medicine whose fundamental principle is the law of similars—that like is cured by like. It was first given practical application by Samuel Hahnemann of Leipzig, Germany, in the early 19th century and was designated homeopathy to distinguish it from the established school of medicine which he called allopathy. The American Institute of Homeopathy was founded in 1844, and the practice of homeopathy was popularized in the United States by the physician and senator Royal S. Copeland (1868–1938).

Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, 10th Ed., 1993: Homeopathy is "a system of medical practice that treats a disease especially by the administration of minute doses of a remedy that would in healthy persons produce symptoms similar to those of the disease".

Miranda Castro R.S. Hom., author of The Complete Homeopathic Handbook, 1990: "The Similum or Law of Similars: This basic law of homeopathy is similia similibus currentur: 'let likes be cured with like'. Based on this premise, the first homeopathic principle states that any substance that can make you ill can also cure you - anything that is capable of producing symptoms of disease in a healthy person can cure those symptoms in a sick person. By 'symptom' the homeopath means those changes that are felt by the patient (subjective) or observed (objective), which may be associated with a particular disease, or state of dis-ease, and which are the outward expression of that state".

Stephen Cummings, M.D. and Dana Ullman, M.P.H., authors of Everybody's Guide to Homeopathic Medicines, 1991: "Homeopathy is a 200-year-old medical system you can use at home to help treat family members with a wide spectrum of acute health problems. It offers a way to gently stimulate your inner healing resources through recognizing and reinforcing the adaptive reaction's of the body's natural defenses. By choosing the correct, individually suited homeopathic medicine from the plant, mineral, animal, or chemical kingdom, you can successfully stimulate the body's own defenses...you can complement your family's efforts toward good health with these safe, natural medicines that provide an effective, inexpensive alternative to conventional medicine"

Th.ere is a lot of controversy about if and how homeopathic remedies work. You must make up your own mind.

German Sanum/PleoSanum - My clinical experience

For more than 17 years I have used Sanum/Pleomorphic homeopathic/isopathic remedies from Germany have been part of my clinical practice. I love these remedies.

  • They often do wonders.
  • Do I claim I fully understand how they work? No.
  • I subscribe to the oath: First, Do No Harm.
  • During all these years, I have not seen one single adverse reaction.
  • This cannot be said about our many very toxic pharmaceutical medications.

Here are just two clients' reports:

"Dear Dr. Zeischegg,

I have had gum problems for the last 20 years. I happened to come across two articles by Dr. Thomas Rau/Paracelsus Klinik in Switzerland and ordered the products recommended. After two weeks of the remedies (Pleo Art A drops and Pleo Leptu capsules), you kindly forwarded to me, the pockets around my teeth have vanished. I am finding it amazing that the dental medical profession is ignorant about candida infections that many of their patients have. I have also been taking Co Q100 supplements together with fish oil capsules to boost my energy.

I am very grateful for your support and will send people your way to get the professional recommendations they need to stay healthy."

Sincerely,

Marlene C., Emerald Hills, CA"

I recently  woke up with a severe pain in my left eye. There seemed to be a little white ulcer on my cornea which made opening and closing the eye almost impossible.  "Naturally" I visited the ophthalmologist to get relief as quick as possible.

This wise man made a quick diagnosis and stated that I had, what he called, a corneal melt.  When asking for more detail he said that my cornea would continue to disintegrate and, well, melt away.  Not to worry though because I could have a transplant after using prednisone drops in my eye for over a month.

Being familiar with homeopathy I searched the web for a remedy and came upon Dr. Z.  I found a Sanum remedy called Pleo Muc 5x. Eye Drops on his web page and quickly ordered it.  His wife Victoria mailed it to me overnight.

After the 2nd application of eyedrops the pain almost disappeared, and by the next morning it had vanished.  The ulcer-like growth on my cornea was much smaller and also disappeared after the second day.  So much for "corneal melt". To think what problems and grief this ophthalmologist might have caused me had I gone with treatment for his obviously false diagnosis. Thank you again, Dr. Z, you most likely saved sight in my lt. eye.

Please review the list of Sanum/PleoSanum remedies I use frequently in my practice - with their German and American names.

What is a homeopathic Nosode?

The Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia Convention of the United States defines a nosode as "homeopathic attenuations of: pathological organs or tissues; causative agents such as bacteria, fungi, ova, parasites, virus particles, and yeast; disease products; excretions or secretions. Nosodes are prepared according to homeopathic specifications, provided the basic substance is not altered and the final product is not adulterated by pathogens or other deleterious substances. The first attenuation must be rendered sterile".

Homeopathic nosodes are thought to stimulate the body to recognize a disease-causing entity, provide a level of protection, and assist in the elimination of the pathogens naturally. Nosodes may provide a template to the immune system and the cell walls, thus making an indirect attack on diseases by stimulating the immune system and white blood cell production.

Professional Complementary Health Formulas offers the following two homeopathic nosodes. I want you to be aware of those:

1. West Nile Mosquito Nosode Drops

2. Bird Flu H5N1 Nosode Drops

For l.egal and political reasons I cannot and will not comment on their clinical relevance. You may be aware that I do not subscribe to the toxic and often very harmful model of allopathic Western Medicine. Having been born and raised in Germany - I may be somewhat biased towards the findings of my countryman Samuel Hahnemann.

Please do your own research and make up your own mind.
